Even though we've owned dogs before and
know quite a bit about care and maintenance, my husband and
I learned a lot at the Dog Works 101 session. It was a great
refresher on some things, but also offered insight into the
importance of leadership for us, and safety and grooming for
our puppy. The notebook provided came in handy when we were
stumped with what to try for a particular issue with our new
puppy. Suzi made the two hour session fun and entertaining
as well as very informational and inspiring---we were
already signed up for Puppy Kindergarten and knew we had
chosen an excellent place for training. Young, old,
inexperienced or experienced, this session has a lot to
offer and is a great bargain!

Our family recently adopted a rescue dog.
We've never owned a dog before so EVERYTHING was new to us.
We feel truly blessed that we found out about Dog Works
through word-of-mouth. We enrolled in the Dog Works 101
class and Basic Obedience 1. Not being a "dog person" by
nature, I knew I would get a lot out of a class on dog
basics. What I didn't realize is that Suzi has information
for everyone. There were people in my class who were
first-time dog owners like me and also experienced dog
owners who wanted to know the latest methods/ideas for being
a good owner. The folder of information Suzi provided was
great. I have referred back to it many times since the
seminar. Suzi's knowledge of dog's and their development is
amazing. She is truly sharing her passion when she teaches
this class. She used one of her dogs, Kiwi, as a demo dog to
show us how to brush their teeth, trim nails, etc. It makes
a huge difference to actually see it being done as opposed
to just having someone tell you how to do it. Suzi is very
open to questions (no matter how naive they are) and has
lots of good ideas and suggestions. The class covered
dog-proofing your house, housetraining, biting, nail
trimming, teeth brushing, grooming, leadership and so much
more! Our family and our dog, Lexi, are better off having
discovered Dog Works. Thanks to Suzi and Dick for being
there for us.

When I signed up for Basic Obedience Training for my 3 year
old Westie I also received an invitation to attend the Dog
Works 101 Seminar. I decided to attend and it was the best
investment you can make to better understand the methods for
training, health care and safety of your new or adult dog.
The presentation by Suzi was very professional and there was
never a dull moment. A wonderful bonus was a note book with
all the information presented at the seminar and a page to
take notes. After each subject was presented there was time
for questions. It is the best two hours you can spend and
an excellent value.
In addition, DogWorks has a wonderful selection of leashes,
collars and training aids of excellent quality at a
reasonable price. DogWorks is owned by Suzi and Dick Johnson
who are very devoted to dog training and their health.
The staff that works with you are wonderful in their
devotion to getting the most for you and your dog from the
lessons. I would highly recommend the Seminar and the
training class to anyone who wants their dog to be safe and
obey you, it could mean saving their life sometime and you a
heartache.
