FALL
SAFETY TIPS
The leaves are changing and so are outside activities. Following are
some safety tips to keep in mind when exercising your "favorite
Pal" outdoors this Fall:
- Wear reflective items. Both you and your dog should be visible
at all times. Reflective clothing and/or collars are available in most
catalogs.
- Keep up-to-date as to when hunting season begins in your area.
Bright orange is appropriate even during the daytime hours in "no
hunting" zones.
- Keep your dog on leash in the woods at all times. Hunters are
quick to react to movement. You don't want them to mistake your
"favorite pal" as a target.
- Wildlife altercations occasionally happen. If the skin is
broken, be sure to have your dog examined immediately by a
veterinarian.
- Always make sure your dog is up-to-date with his/her
vaccinations.
Enjoy the Fall season, it is a great time of year.
